Deep Retrofit Supply Chain Waiting For More Support
The best way to lower emissions and increase the resiliency of our infrastructure is through deep retrofits: holistic energy efficiency upgrades to homes that improve occupant health and make housing more affordable by lowering bills, achieved through the use of low-carbon materials, new technologies (like heat pumps and energy efficient windows) and the use of smart electricity grids.
A Rundown on The 2024 BC Building Codes
BC Codes 2024 are largely based on the National Codes 2020 with some BC-specific variations to reflect the province’s geography, climate, local government needs, industry practices, and provincial priorities. Book I (General) and Book II (Plumbing Systems) together form the BC Building Code 2024.
Sustainability
FGIA actively participates in sustainability initiatives, with a focus on the fenestration and glazing industry. The fenestration industry continues to grow and strives for buildings that are both environmentally-friendly and energy efficient.
