2025 HAVAN AWARDS FOR HOUSING EXCELLENCE FINALISTS REVEALED
Finalists of the Homebuilders Association Vancouver (HAVAN) Awards for Housing Excellence, presented by FortisBC, were revealed on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Cosentino, Vancouver.
Winners of the HAVAN Awards for Housing Excellence will be announced at the Gala tomorrow night, Saturday, April 12, 2025, at The Westin Bayshore, Vancouver
Capturing the very best in new-home construction, renovation and design projects, the HAVAN Awards for Housing Excellence places a spotlight on the accomplishments of Metro Vancouver’s homebuilding industry showcasing stunning custom-built homes and whole-home renovations, complete with state-of-the-art automation, luxurious primary suites, and breath-taking kitchens, plus premier multi-family production developments, single-family developments, townhomes, laneways, and multiplex housing solutions. This year’s HAVAN Awards saw 181 builders, renovators, and designers submit 451 entries across 65 categories.
The evolving landscape of housing legislation, particularly focused on multi-unit housing and gentle densification of single-family lots to help address our housing crisis, presents new opportunities for homeowners. As regulations change, Wendy McNeil, Acting HAVAN CEO, emphasizes the importance of working with experienced professionals.
McNeil shared, “The complexity behind the new-home construction and renovations has significantly intensified in recent years, and the industry delivers remarkable projects balancing building science and regulatory requirements with consumer demands for functionality and aesthetic quality. In its 16th year, the premier industry-recognized awards program employs a rigorous judging process, with finalists selected by a peer-reviewed panel of award-winning builders, renovators, and designers nationwide. Finalists and winners proudly display the HAVAN Awards symbol, providing homeowners with a recognizable mark of trusted, local builders and designers for added confidence.
